The Historic Buckley House was exactly what we were looking for. Victorian Historical Home in center of historic district of Marietta, OH. We walked to the farmers market and front street shops on Saturday morning, enjoyed trolley tour around town, and enjoyed the local activity taking place across the street in Muskingum Park. The home was large with open rooms downstairs restroom two parlors and gorgeous dining room table. The kitchen is very modern and had all we needed and back patio was great for privacy in evenings. Upstairs had 4 large bedrooms each with their own bathroom and nice balcony with entrance off the hallway. Highly recommend and cannot wait to return.

The Buckley House In Marietta Ohio was perfect for our Ladies afternoon tea. Three middle age ladies and we all live locally near Marietta. With the America 250 celebration of Living History Reenactment taking place in Muskingum park directly across the street making the perfect setting for our Victorian Afternoon Tea. The house was perfect backdrop. We walked down front street and to Farmers Market on Saturday, trolley ride downtown and just had delightful weekend. The room sizes are large and just plenty of space for everyone. The house was pristine with plenty of items in the kitchen, coffee makers, tea pot with tea selections, and plenty of pots/pans dinnerware etc. showers all had shampoo condition and body wash. And the AC kept house cold on warm humid afternoons. The house is a Victorian historical house which is exactly what we were looking for.

Maxx was very responsive to any questions. Always very helpful. Walking distance to downtown Marietta and many of the local, historic attractions. You can also walk across the river bridge to go to Harmer village. House was clean. Large, modern kitchen (our group of 8 liked to sit around the kitchen area). Living room and dining area large enough to handle our group. It is an older, historic home. Front room and drawing room decorated in period furnishings. Master bedroom is huge. Other bedrooms were smaller, mostly to accommodate modern bathrooms in each bedroom. We didn't really spend much time in the bedrooms, so not an issue. Beds were very comfortable. Lots of helpful guides at the house. We enjoyed our stay in the house and Marietta.

We were shocked that this was a Airbnb. Unbelievable stay! We highly recommend staying at this historic property. From the kitchen to the bedrooms you can feel the history in every room. We'll probably make a special trip to Marietta to stay here again.

The house in centrally located between many of the local attractions. It is walkable to the Valley Gem Sternwheeler (we went on both a luncheon and dinner cruise and would highly recommend), Peoples Theater is two blocks south, (attended a great live performance). The Castle and Mound Cemetery are just four blocks east, a must see. And the Peoples Mortuary Museum is 1/2 block north, also a must see but you have to call to schedule visit but well worth it. The interior of the house has been beautifully restored. You feel like you have just walked into an upper-class home in the late 1800's. All the bathrooms and the kitchen have been updated. The house is spotlessly clean. We did have some concerns, but Maxx was quick to respond to them, and they were satisfied to our approval. Overall, a great place to stay when visiting Marietta.

Our stay at the Buckley House in Marietta was absolutely exceptional from start to finish. From the moment we arrived, we felt genuinely welcomed and cared for in a way that’s rare to find. The hosts went above and beyond to make our visit special, offering thoughtful recommendations for local restaurants that ended up being some of the highlights of our trip. Their knowledge of the area truly enhanced our experience and made everything feel effortless.Even more impressive, they worked closely with us to create custom welcome baskets for all of our guests, which added such a personal and thoughtful element to the entire experience. The home itself was charming, comfortable, and well maintained, perfect for a relaxing getaway. Every detail felt intentional, and it was clear how much pride the hosts take in creating a memorable experience for their guests. We left already talking about our next visit. We will absolutely be back. Wenhighly recommend the Buckley House to anyone visiting Marietta

My family recently stayed at the Buckley House for a post-Christmas get-together. The space on the first floor accommodated our group quite well, and we really appreciated the fact that upstairs each bedroom had its own bathroom. Overall, we found the premises to be clean and in good order. In addition, the house is situated within walking distance to many of Marietta's shops, restaurants, and attractions which is a plus.

We were in town for our daughter's college graduation. LOVED the extra space for having my family and my daughter's friends over for a dinner and a brunch. So much space to visit and enjoy our friends as opposed to a hotel room. We loved the space and the neighborhood! Walkable to several restaurants, bars and shops. Would definitely stay agin!
